OH HELL YEAH
I'm so excited!!!
I got the university I want, and I can't wait to go already!
There's so much I wanna do! Meet Annie which I definitely can't wait. I just hope I won't be an annoying person or anything, that's so not what I want to be!
My mum's already said that for my christmas present next year, as I can't go home they're gonna buy me flights to Vegas for my 21st!
I'm so super excited about everything, I feel positively American already!

Boredom
Thursday, 25 November 2010
Many things!
So since the last blog update which was ages ago, lots of things have happened. I got onto the year abroad course again, and am hoping for Utah State University! It's got the courses I want and hopefully I can afford it! Plus my American friend Annie goes there :) It's always good to have at least one friendly face!
Secondly, my job is going swimmingly. I'm managing to be at all my lectures and seminars and handing in my essays on time which is good! Alongside multiple presentations. I got paid today too and got £458 for only 3 weeks work. Which is fantastic! That's around $710 for America!
There's not much else I can think of that's pressing at the minute.
Of course when I go to America this is obviously where I'll blog everything that happens there and update with some pictures. I already have a lot of what I'd love to do planned out. A short list is this:
- Go to Las Vegas for my 21st, Utah is only a state over from Nevada!
- Take pictures of the Greek frat houses, Wal-Mart and the biggest car I can find
- Go to New York for New Years Eve possibly?
- Go to Washington D.C
- Go to Los Angeles, Huntington Beach and San Francisco
- Go to Orlando and enjoy the theme parks!
- Go to the Grand Canyon!
- Make lots of American friends
- Try every variety of Coca-Cola and Pepsi/whatever else I can find!
- Buy a box of really cheap ass Lucky Charms and boast on facebook
- Make my life look amazing.
That is all.

Back in the land of the cheese!
So I'm back in Leicester, have been for a week so I'm a bit slow on the uptake. Not really been updating this a whole lot. Mainly cos I'm lazy and forget. The new blockmates have moved in and they all seem pretty cool so far! And oddly enough they're all Southerners who actually think my accent is nice. That's unusual as most Southerners here usually have a little bash at it to be honest. I like it! Going to freshers fair on Tuesday because I'm working tomorrow so I want to try and sleep in a bit so that I'm able to stay up late and function properly. Hurray for even more hurting legs and feet! But even more hurray for money! I'm always up for that. If I end up working nearly 8 hours again then that's near enough £100 within 2 days! Which is completely bombing and I love it! :D I'm now a fully fledged bartender. Woop!

Best Advert
If there's a top adverts of the decade or whatever on tv, then clearly this advert should be in the top 10
One of the best adverts I've ever seen, I love the concept and love the music too! Well played Smirnoff, well played

Lifetime Dreams
So thanks to Emma, I've become hooked on the Dark Hunter books by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
I've also read the Percy Jackson books and am reading the Iliad.
Yeah, if you can't tell, I've become hardcore obsessed with ancient Greece and all things Greek.
So much so that in light of my non-America next year, :(, I'm going to go to Greece instead!
And I'm super excited, hopefully to Rhodes where I can tan it up on the beach whilst also
visiting historical ruins :) You can't do Greece without ruins!
That also lead to me creating a lifetime dreams list, I suppose things to do before I die, but not so
melodramatic aha. So here it is!
The Lifetime Dreams List
'You're gonna need some serious money for this shit'
I totally know, most of my main goals in life are travel based, and on that fact are historical based.
I'm a history geek I fully admit.
Hopefully I can knock some of them off!

My babies :D
Sooo not been doing a whole lot to be honest.
No jobs still :(
Oh well, and student finance are still being the ultimate douches on the planet.
At this rate I'll be going to uni with just over £3500 to pay off my accommodation fees.
And that's it.
Greeeeat.
Stupid people.
But in another world.
These are my babies at the moment.
Yes that is a PlayStation 3 and a brand new flat screen TV.
Money well spent!
There's over half a grand right here on my..boxy bookcase thing whatever that is.
The TV's a beautiful 23" Samsung flatscreen from Currys, which was only £219.99.
Cheap!
And I've got plenty of fantastic games to keep me occupied.
PS3 is way better than XBOX, I mean, PlayStation Home alone keeps me occupied
till way late in the morning.
I don't even do anything on it, just wander around.
Little Big Planet is possibly the most addicting game ever in life.
And I finally finished it the other day.
LBP 2 soon.
WOOP.
I want Red Dead Redemption, looks awesome. I'm well up for GTA in the old west with horses.
I also have a fantastic England flag now too! :D
See...fantastic :D
Supporting my country even though we're doing pretty pants in the World Cup so far.
Ahh well.
I never expect anything great from our team.
But all the same, at least I have a flag now, and I wanted one that didn't say bloody
ENGLAND in the middle of it.
:D
Thank heavens for Clinton Cards!
As well, redecorated room.
Well not colour. Just taken the old metal and rock posters down.
The result is now =
Looks good yeah? :D
I think so too.
Well that's about it sofar, just an update as I haven't updated in ages.
Not that anyone cares but oh well :)
Ciao!

Election Day
So today is election day! :D
I didn't vote in the Leicester South constituency because I'd already done a postal vote.
Plus I'd rather vote for my own darn town.
I voted Tory, purely because I read their policies and agreed with them more than any others.
All the leaders are assholes anyway, let's be honest.
But I still remain a red at heart, still a devout Labour supporter, but unfortunately they don't have the manifesto to make me confident in them this time round.
So, we'll see what happens.
I don't want Liberal Democrats in. Screw Nick Clegg pffft.

Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold will be co-headlining the 1st annual Rockstar Uproar Tour!
W00!!!!!!
I'm so pleased that they'll be touring again, especially with the new record coming out. Glad that they're moving on from the Rev's death and moving forward with the band. It'd be awful if they just let the band go. All that hard work for nothing you know?
Glad they're willing to keep the spirit of Rev alive through the music :)
I hope they come to England! Especially before I go to America.
Be just my luck they come to England when I go to America lol.
I'll kick off! xD

Things University Has Taught Me
So being at university has taught me some things.
As expected, and I don't mean educational things, of course I was going to learn those.
No, this is a list of other things I've learnt.
As expected, and I don't mean educational things, of course I was going to learn those.
No, this is a list of other things I've learnt.
- People can irritate me very easily, for no apparent reason
- I can become bored easily in lectures even though they're interesting
- I can spend most of my day doing nothing and think it a productive day
- I can survive on barely any money at university, and still go out and generally survive
- Laptops are your life, your laptop dies, pretty much you die.
- The internet is the lifeline for students. That dies students are forced to socialise.
- I can find one hour a day of university tedious and it takes a lot to wake up for that one hour
- Nights out end badly. Always.
- I can cook. Surprisingly.
- I'm highly independent and it never bothered me when my parents left. I didn't cry.
- I didn't make a lot of friends, but the friends I did make are worth a lot to me!
- I should join more societies. Really.
- The History society seems to think I'm a member. I'm not. Stop emailing me.
- I get multiple emails a day from Ms. Whitmore. I don't care about them.
- I hate the AVS office.
- I love meeting internationals.
- I love Americans (shock horror)
- I like Americas Next Top Model
- I like Disney
- Showcase cinema in Leicester is outrageously expensive. But I still go.
- Leicester is one of the best places to shop!
- I love New Look
- I like drinking alcohol. As long as it's not beer, lager, wine.
- The Christian Society as Leicester sure knows how to piss everyone off.
- Sainsburys on Queens Road calls to me every day. Damn you.
- Lyndon B. Johnson was a very boring man. Due to the fact I've not learnt anything about him.
- Andrew Johnstone is quite amusing once you get over his odd accent.
- I can do a 3000 word essay in a few hours.
- I can do an essay on something I've never even heard of in a few hours!
- I suck ass at exams

Scotland whining..again
'The Scottish National Party says it has raised £50,000 to proceed with legal action over the prime ministerial debate on BBC One on Thursday.'
Guess what Scotland..England doesn't care.
Shut up with your incessant whining, you don't even like England.
You have your own damn government, you rule over yourselves.
And yet both you AND Wales both get to have a deciding vote in how England is run.
Screw you.
England doesn't want to see you in the debates, you have your own damn debates.
The whole point of the debate is that all three parties are the main parties all over the place.
Scotland and Wales each have their own debates.
Why should we see a bloody SNP member in our debate when we can't even vote for him?
Get with it, no one cares.

The God squad
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8607964.stm
That article irritates me. No I don't give a flying crap what the moral values of any politician I elect are.
I elect them based on their parties bloody policies.
This is not America, the American government is riddled with so many gaping holes due to the religious right.
This isn't an attack on religion itself, just the fact that it has no place in politics.
Seperation of church and state.
Not all of Britain is Christian, Britain has an incredibly high number of atheists, Muslims and others.
So why should politics be ruled by some religion who feels they have to have a say in what government does.
If they don't want government interfering with them (see Equal Opportunities Act, they hate that), then stop interfering in government.
I want my government to improve the lifestyle of Britain, not turn into America where if you so much as mention you're an atheist you appear to be shunned if you're a politician.
Practice it, enjoy it, believe it but dear god please don't make our politics religious.
Contrary to popular Christian belief, not everyone likes being ruled over by a God.
I'm atheist and the sheer fact that I could possibly be denied something because someone else believes it goes against their 'god' angers me.
I have no god.
I like the fact that Britain can elect a government who does not have to publicly proclaim they are a Christian and that they go to Church.
That there is not a right side of our politics that bases most of it's opposition on religious beliefs.
Just my own opinion on it, religion isn't needed in politics.

The thing of the devil
I've officially decided.
Contraceptive pills are the thing of the devil.
Micryogynon turned me into a depressive paranoid who lost all interest in anything fun.
And the new one the Doctor has given me sounds like a riot.
The reviews for it basically say it's the pill of the devil.
I mean :
SCREW THE PILL ¬_¬
Yes a complete personal rant but I don't care, it's evil.
It's officially evil and ruined my happy go lucky life for the past few months.
Made me hate my courses at university even though they weren't that bad.
Made me lose interest in pretty much anything, I didn't even wanna go out on my birthday.
In fact as I remember it, I got very depressive when the parents went home.
It's ridiculous.
I'm going to stop and hopefully everything improves.
Because I hate it.

Books books everywhere!
So I went to the library today to get some new books.
And shockingly they had books I wanted.
But I decided I was going to give some books to them as I have far too many.
This is how many bags of books I'm giving away.
Over a 100 books to go the library aha.
Books from back when I was like what..10 or something.
All sorts.
Horror, romance, teenage, fiction, paranormal romance.
Lots and lots of books :)
Doing my bit for the community aha.
And a doctors appointment on Wednesday.
Woot?

The cat is so lazy..
My cat's so darned lazy.
All she ever does is sleep..get up...go back to sleep aha.
She's cute though, a little black and white fluffball
Especially when she does stuff like this. But it's totally cute right? :D
She's got into that habit lately..of curling up under the covers of my mum and dads bed.
She just lays her head on the pillow, it's adorable.
She's a funny cat but oh well, love her all the same :D
